VR Space Museum DIONE

VR Space Museum DIONE (launched September 2018) is an immersive VR attraction developed in Kimotsuki, Kagoshima Prefecture, as part of the town’s broader space-themed regional revitalization efforts. Designed as a digital space museum concept, the project offers three distinct VR experiences: “Speed of Light,” which simulates traveling through space at light velocity; “Scale of the Universe,” which visualizes the immense vastness of the cosmos; and “Zero-Gravity Spacewalk,” allowing users to experience floating freely in outer space. By combining scientific visualization with immersive storytelling, DIONE provides an accessible and educational way to explore space, reflecting the town’s close connection to Japan’s space research activities
