“? Puzzle Rally! Kishimon Rescue Operation” & “Kishiwada Specialty Rediscovery Battle” is an original city-wide interactive game project created for the “Kishiwada Castle EXPO ~TAKEAKARI~” event in Kishiwada city, which celebrated the city’s 100th anniversary and cultural heritage. The project combined a distributed puzzle solving rally called “? Puzzle Rally! Kishimon Rescue Operation”, where participants visited multiple puzzle spots throughout the city to uncover clues and collect original themed cards, with a complementary analog card game titled “Kishiwada Specialty Rediscovery Battle.” By solving riddles at each location and gathering all 18 collectible cards, players could then enjoy the cards as a game that celebrates local specialties and characters. Designed by TANSAN with artwork by Tatsuya Inoue (Illustration Office Qlipper’s), the project blended on-site exploration, creative storytelling, and game mechanics to encourage visitors and residents alike to discover and engage with Kishiwada’s history, culture, and community.
