METAANI × HOSOO Collaboration

METAANI × HOSOO Collaboration was a cross-disciplinary project that brought together Hosoo, the historic Nishijin-ori textile maker, and Metaani, a Japanese Web3 NFT and 3D avatar platform developed by BeyondConcept. Metaani is a popular 3D NFT avatar project featuring collectible digital characters that can function in metaverse environments and support creative collaborations with artists and brands. The partnership explored the fusion of traditional Japanese craftsmanship with cutting-edge blockchain and metaverse technologies by presenting Hosoo’s exquisite textile designs in a digital context alongside Metaani’s NFT ecosystem, creating new ways to reinterpret cultural heritage through digital art and immersive media. By coordinating this collaboration, the project aimed to expand creative expression across heritage craft and Web3 communities, highlighting innovative uses of NFT avatars and cultural design in hybrid digital-physical experiences.
