Kakekko AR

“Kakekko AR” (8th Wall / WebAR) was an innovative WebAR augmented reality project developed under the auspices of the Japan Sports Agency to promote interest in athletics and sports participation through immersive digital content. Released as part of the Virtual Athletics Plaza initiative, Kakekko AR used 8th Wall WebAR technology to allow users to experience an interactive sprint/running AR simulation directly in a mobile web browser without needing a dedicated app. The AR experience was designed to engage children and families by visualizing dynamic running scenarios and complementing other online and interactive athletics content, helping to spark broader enthusiasm for track and field activities by blending physical activity with accessible AR technology.
