Oodama Okuri

Oodama Okuri is an interactive attraction developed for the sports entertainment area at TonDemI Yokosuka, operated by Bandai Namco Amusement. The experience invited players to help guide a giant rolling ball (“oodama”) to the goal by creating a pathway made from human-shaped blocks generated from their own captured poses. During gameplay, participants stood in front of a camera, struck dynamic poses, and had their silhouettes instantly transformed into structural elements within the game world. Once the course was assembled within a set time limit, the giant ball was released—success depended on how well players had positioned their human blocks. Designed for both solo and group participation, Oodama Okuri combined physical movement, creativity, and real-time visual compositing to deliver a highly social and memorable interactive experience within a large-scale indoor amusement environment.
