BitSummit
BitSummit is the largest independent game event in Japan, bringing together indie game creators from around the world in Kyoto. Since its founding in 2012, the event has grown into a major international platform connecting developers, publishers, media, and fans, while showcasing the latest innovations in indie game development. Skeleton Crew Studio has been involved since the early stages as a member of the organizing committee, playing an ongoing role in the planning and operation of the event. The studio supports the successful execution and continued growth of BitSummit by connecting a wide range of stakeholders—including domestic and international developers, publishers, sponsors, visitors, volunteers, and partner organizations. Beyond on-site operations, Skeleton Crew Studio contributes to multiple aspects of the event’s development, including building relationships with international exhibitors, coordinating with sponsors, designing operational structures, managing human resources, overseeing technical equipment such as rental PCs, and planning related programs. This includes the organization of initiatives such as Game Jams, as well as art direction for key visuals and overall event presentation. Through these efforts, the studio helps ensure both the smooth delivery and long-term evolution of one of Japan’s most important indie game events.
